  • Welcome to D.A. Mallory Elementary.  Our elementary school is home to over 600 enthusiastic students and to more than 70 dedicated teachers and support staff.  Our school is a Kindergarten through 4th grade building with an Early Childhood Center located on our campus.  We offer part-time preschool services, Parents as Teachers education, a Gifted Student Program, Title I Intervention services, after-school programming, and a variety of other enrichment opportunities for our students and families.  Please contact our school office, at 417.345.2350 to visit with our school administration or to tour our facilities.

  • Youth Baseball Camp
    Buffalo Bison Youth Baseball Camp will be held May 24-27, 2021. 1st-3rd grade 10:30-noon and 4th-6th grade 12:30-2:30 p.m. The youth camp is designed to teache the fundatmetals of baseball. The BHS coaching staff will be coaching proper techniques of hitting, pithcing, catching, infielding, outfielding, base running, and team defense. Instruction will be adjusted for age and ability levels and student safety is stressed at all times.
    Each camper needs to bring their bat and glove. We will do our best to provide the resources if forgotten. Helmets are encouraged but not required. Players may wear baseball pants or shorts.
    Cost per camper is $25 (includes coaching and t-shirt).
    We look forward to seeing everyon at Buffalo High School Baseball Field.

    Incoming Kindergarten students MUST be five years old before August 1, 2021.


    All screenings are by appointment only.


    Families will need to bring the following information to the screening:
    ● Birth Certificate/Proof of Age
    ● Shot Record
    ● Proof of Residency
    ● Insurance Card
    ● Custody Papers (if applicable)

    Within 2-3 days after your registration has been submitted a school employee
    will contact the family to set up a screening appointment for students.
    Kindergarten Screenings will take place at Mallory April 28 & 29 (only evening appointment available 29th) and May 5.

    **Completing this form does not guarantee enrollment. Your child is not enrolled in our district until all forms are completed and required documentation is supplied and approved. If you have any questions or have problems completing this form please contact the Mallory Office at 417-345-2350.

  • Mallory Drop Off Line Moves to Circle Drive

    IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: Beginning Friday (August 28th) we will be moving our morning drop off line to the front of Mallory. Please follow the following procedures:

    1. Enter from Mill street - same as after school pick up.

    2. During drop off, once unloaded you must wait. No passing of vehicles.

    3. If you wish to walk your child in, please park in the south lot and enter through the main entrance.

  • Returning and Retrieving Student Items

    Two questions we've been receiving lately are: how do we return items to school? And, how do we get our student's personal belongings from school. Both are good questions. First, beginning Monday April 20th families will be able to return student assignments, library books, etc to Mallory. A black tote will be placed in front of the school doors, under the awning from 8-3pm Monday - Friday. Clearly mark your student and teacher's name on the item so it is returned to the right place.


    Second, Mallory student's personal items, including yearbooks, will be available for pick up May 4 -8th, from 8:00 - 3:00 in the FEMA building. Parents should park in the south parking lot and enter through the exterior FEMA doors. Teachers and staff will be available to assist. If you need additional assistance from the office or health room staff, please use the building main doors and an office staff member will be available to help.

    Finally, Preschool families are invited to come to the preschool anytime between 8:00-3:00 May 4 & 5th to pick up their student's personal items. A photographer will also be on site to take student graduation pictures for interested families. A cap and gown will be made available. Photo packages are $5.00 and include a choice of either - 1 - 5x7, & 2 - 3x5s, or 1- 5x7, & 4 wallets. (exact cash or check only, please)

  • Gearing Up for Kindergarten 

    Unfortunately Gearing Up for Kindergarten has been cancelled due to the recent COVID-19 situation.  The Kindergarten teachers have developed a website for future Kindergarten students and their families to review to access the same information that they would receive at the Gearing Up event.  Please visit Gearing Up for Kindergarten

  • Parent's As Teachers

    Dallas Co R-1 School District recently hired two new Parent's as Teacher's Educators. They will begin reaching out to families at the end of the month to start home visits in October. Look for additional information on this website as well as the Dallas County Schools Parents as Teachers Facebook page.
