Student Quarterly Reward Trip Qualifications
Students will be able to earn the right to attend quarterly reward trips. Students will earn this reward by having 95% attendance, all A's on their quarter grade card, and zero discipline referrals for that quarter. Each quarter students who meet all three requirements will be able to attend a field trip as a reward for all their hard work. Each quarter will be independent from another, so if a student doesn't qualify for 1st quarter, they can work hard and qualify for the next quarter.
For students who attend middle school, we offer multiple opportunities to participate in activities during the school day and after school. One goal we have is to ensure students are well prepared for their high school years after they have completed middle school. We offer a variety of extra-curricular and co-curricular opportunities for our students to get involved in. I am excited to announce, beginning with the 19-20 school year, we will be offering cheerleading and baseball for students in grades 7 and 8. In addition, students in grades 5-6 will have the opportunity to participate in science and math clubs this year. We offer many opportunities for students with a variety of talents and skills.

From all of us at BPMS we hope you are having a fantastic summer and are enjoying great times with family and friends. My name is Buck Shockley and I am principal at Buffalo Prairie Middle School. I would like to take this opportunity to personally invite the community to our building Open House August 20th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. This would be a great opportunity for students to meet their teachers, see the building, and visit their classrooms before school starts.
At BPMS we take great pride in our school and community. We strive to create an environment where all students can succeed and feel welcomed throughout their years in middle school. We are very excited for the new school year and to begin meeting our new students and seeing our returning students once again. We have made some major upgrades to our building and are excited for our community to come and see the great things happening at BPMS. As always, we appreciate the support of our parents and community members.
