  • Welcome to D.A. Mallory Elementary.  Our elementary school is home to over 600 enthusiastic students and to more than 70 dedicated teachers and support staff.  Our school is a Kindergarten through 4th grade building with an Early Childhood Center located on our campus.  We offer part-time preschool services, Parents as Teachers education, a Gifted Student Program, Title I Intervention services, after-school programming, and a variety of other enrichment opportunities for our students and families.  Please contact our school office, at 417.345.2350 to visit with our school administration or to tour our facilities.

  • Summer School 2019

    Coming Soon in June...Summer School! This summer from June 3 - June 28 we are offering exciting and engaging classes for our incoming kindergarten to sixth grade students! Each week the students will have a day they go swimming. At the end of the month we will go on a field trip. We will also have some exciting surprises throughout the summer! We hope you will join our exciting adventures! Enrollment forms can be picked up at the school office or by clicking HERE.   SUMMER SCHOOL BUS STOPS

    All meals (breakfast and lunch) will be served free to any student living in the school district, even if  the students are not attending summer school. Breakfast will be served at 7:45 a.m. and lunch at 11:30 a.m.

  • Kindergarten and Preschool Registration and Screenings
    Dallas County Schools will open registration for 2019-2020 Kindergarten and Preschool students on April 2.  Families will complete an online registration and following the registration steps. 24-48 hours after the registration has been submitted a school employee will contact the family to set up a screening appointment for the students.  Kindergarten Screenings will take place at Mallory on April 15 & 16th, Preschool Screenings will take place at the Dallas County R-1 Early Childhood Center on April 26th, May 3, and May 10th.  

    Incoming Kindergarten students must be five years old before August 1, 2019.  Incoming preschool students must be four years old before August 1, 2019.  REGISTER HERE

     

    All screenings are by appointment only.

    Families will need to bring the following information to the screening:

    • Birth Certificate/Proof of Age
    • Shot Record
    • Proof of Residency
    • Insurance Card
    • Custody Papers (if applicable)

  • Gearing Up For Kindergarten

    Dallas County Schools will host an event for all incoming  Kindergarten students for the 2019-2020 school year. The event will be at Mallory Elementary on April 2.  This is a drop in event from 5:00 - 6:30. Families will meet the Kindergarten teachers, tour the building, enjoy a school bus ride, receive a FREE backpack, play in a bounce house, and shop at the Scholastic Book Fair. This is a great opportunity for families to introduce their new kindergartener to the school staff and facilities.
