Buffalo High School would like to invite the Class of 2023 to Freshman Orientation Tuesday, August 13 from 8:00 am – 12:30 pm in the Field House (parents will drop-off their freshmen and do not need to return until 11:45 am for a parent meeting).  More information will be coming soon to all freshmen.  Open House will start at 6:00 pm.  Mrs. Sherrell (HS counselor) who is our Link Crew coordinator will send out information to our incoming freshmen and our upperclassmen Link Crew leaders who will be trained this summer.  The students will participate in many fun activities to help them learn team building, cooperative skill development, discussion skills, and the essentials skills to be successful in high school.  The Link Crew Leaders will help their freshmen groups get an insiders view of the rules and procedures at BHS such as CANVAS, 1:1 Chromebook procedures, and persistence to graduation, time management, attendance policy, dress code, handbook, Bison Time, Bison University, and more.  Sponsors and coaches will be available to share information about the activities available to high school students.  Research indicates students who participate in activities are more successful in high school.  Administration will meet with freshmen parents for a short parent meeting at 11:45 am in the Shewmaker Auditorium and then you will meet back up with your child at 12:30 pm.  All freshmen need to plan to attend on august 13 from 8:00 12:30 pm and we look forward to kicking off a great school year.
