New Quarantine Guidance by DCHD-December 3, 2020

New Quarantine Guidance-December 3, 2020

Dallas County Health Department still recommends 14 day quarantine but we recognize the science behind the new guidance from CDC.  Full guidance can be found https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/more/scientific-brief-options-to-reduce-quarantine.html

A person having NO symptoms and has not been tested may be released from quarantine after 10 days following exposure.

A person having NO symptoms and they test negative 5 days post exposures may be released from quarantine after 7 days.  (Test on day 5, Release on day 7 if negative results are reported)

Regardless of release date, persons must continue to monitor themselves for the full 14 days after exposure.

If at any time symptoms appear, persons must IMMEDIATELY isolate themselves and it is recommended they get tested and treated if necessary
