Medications at School
Medication Policy
If your child requires medication at school, the medication must be in a properly labeled bottle from the pharmacy. The pharmacy can provide you with an extra labeled bottle for medication to be kept at school.
If it is an over the counter medication, it must be labeled with the child’s name, dosage, and time to be given.
All medication must be brought in by the parent and picked up by the parent. The child is not allowed to carry medication on the bus. No medication will be sent home with the child.
The only exceptions to this policy are students with asthma, that need to carry an inhaler or students that need to carry an epi-pen. Please contact the nurse’s office if your child needs to carry an inhaler or epi-pen.
This is not meant to be a hardship for parents, it is strictly for your child’s and other children’s safety.
Thank you for your cooperation in this matter. If you have any questions contract the nurse’s office at 345-5702 (Mallory); 345-5706; (BPMS); or 345-5628 (High School).
