Welcome to First Grade! I cannot wait to meet you and start our year together. 

 My name is Ms. Halley Young and I am so excited to be your 1st-grade teacher this year. This will be my eighth year of teaching. I have also taught third grade and Title One Reading. I am a graduate of Missouri State University with a Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education. I love spending time with my family and friends, being outdoors and crafting!

In this classroom...You are cared about, I value your ideas, thoughts, and actions. You have unique talents and strengths and I am excited for you to share them with your classmates. You will bring so much to our class and I am looking forward to learning more about you! I hope you had a wonderful summer and I can’t wait to hear all about it. It is going to be a great year full of new friends, new adventures, and new discoveries.
