Hello, my name is Ashley Akins. I am the sixth-grade Communication Arts teacher here at BPMS. I am a proud graduate of Dallas Co. R-1 school. I graduated in 2009 from Buffalo High School. After graduation, I attended OTC in Springfield, where I gained my Associate of Arts degree in teaching. I then transferred to MSU to complete my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education.

I was born and raised in Dallas County and now reside here with my husband, Jeff, and our four children; Harper, Presley, Jude, and Brooks. I love Dallas County and couldn't be happier teaching at BPMS. I've always known I wanted to be a teacher since I was very young. It is now that I get to live out that dream in the Dallas County school district.

Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with family and friends. My family and I enjoy being active in our Church, fishing, going shopping, spending time outdoors, and just being together.
