21st Century Community Learning Centers After School Programming
The Dallas County School District will be providing after school programming through the 21st Century Community Learning Centers program and grant this school year. Programming at Mallory will be provided through the Dallas County Area YMCA Primetime Program. It will begin on the first day of classes, August 17. Programming begins after school and continues until 6:00 p.m. each school day. Primetime requires a fee of $4 per day with a reduced rate of $2 per day for children who qualify for free or reduced lunches. Fees are due in advance on the first of the month and payable to DCR1 at the Y. You may request assistance with the fees on the registration form.
The Bison Academy will be providing programming at BPMS and BHS beginning Monday, August 22. Programming will begin after school and continue until 6:00 p.m. In an effort to develop a sustainability program for after school services, the program will begin charging a small fee. If students plan to attend full time, 20 times per month, the fee will be $20. If the student plans to attend part time, 1-3 times per week, the fee will be $12. If your child qualifies for free or reduced lunches, the fee will be waived. The fee will be payable on the first of each month at your child’s school office. You may request assistance with fees on the registration form.
After school transportation will continue to be provided to the summer school stops. The busses will leave the buildings approximately 6:15 p.m. Transportation will begin Monday, August 22 and continue each school day except on early out days (December 20th and May 21st)
After school programming is available to any youth living in the school district including youth who are not a student of the school district.
