• Back to School Registration and New Student Enrollment

    The back to school registration for current students and new student enrollment will again be conducted online through the parent portal for the 2021-22 school year.  Registration will be open at 8 a.m., Monday, August 2, 2021.  The deadline to complete registration will be Friday, August 6. Parents can access and complete all forms online, from the PARENT PORTAL. If you do not have access to the parent portal, you may contact the building offices, August 2. A link to the parent portal will be provided on the bisonpride.org website and sent out to families August 2.

    For families that are enrolling for the first time and parents of preschool and kindergarten students who did not complete the screening process, they will access NEW STUDENT QUICK REGISTRATION. Once our office receives the completed Quick Registration Form, a district employee will contact the parents with their Parent Portal information so the family can complete the forms on the Parent Portal. Parents will not receive this contact until after August 2 when building offices reopen after summer vacation.

    Parents of preschool and kindergarten students who completed the screening process last spring, will complete the back to school enrollment. Parents of preschool and kindergarten students who did not complete the screening process will complete the new student enrollment by accessing NEW STUDENT QUICK REGISTRATION FORM website.

    Don’t have Internet access at home?  No, problem. There will be registration stations setup for your use at the high school, middle school, and elementary buildings, August 3-4, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.  Contact a building office if you need additional help.

    Families will also have the option to apply for virtual instruction for their students. The deadline to apply for virtual instruction is September 7, 2021 at 8 a.m. Applications can be submitted to the respective building administration beginning July 26, 2021 VIRTUAL INSTRUCTION 

    The Beau Fournier Memorial Fund will provide the school supplies for all students in the Dallas County School District in grades PK-8. This is the second year the fund has provided the school supplies for students. Parents are asked to provide their students with a backpack, Clorox wipes, tissues, zip sandwich bags and headphones/earbuds if their teachers request them. The school district will not be publishing supply lists due to the generous contribution by the memorial fund. If you are interested in contributing to the memorial fund, you may do so at OakStar Bank.

    OACAC will also be assisting families who income qualify. OACAC is accepting appointments with families through July 30, 417-345-7964. Students will receive a backpack, tissues, other miscellaneous supplies, and a pair of shoes.

    Parents will find out their children’s teachers after completing the back to school registration beginning August 3.
