DCR1 Announces New Mallory Elementary Assistant Principal

The Dallas County R-1 School District is pleased to announce Mrs. Shondra Collins has been selected as assistant principal at Mallory Elementary to begin the 2019-20 school year. Mrs. Collins is currently working on her Specialist Degree in Education Administration at Missouri State University. She completed her Master’s Degree in K-12 Education Administration at Southwest Baptist University and her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education at Drury University.

Mrs. Collins began her career in education teaching Title I Preschool at Chadwick, followed by Title I Preschool and Fifth Grade at Marshfield, and most recently Fifth Grade at York Elementary in Springfield. Mrs. Collins’ 13 years of experience in education also includes leadership experience serving as summer school administrator and serving on several leadership teams.

Mrs. Collins stated, “I am delighted to have the opportunity to serve the students, families and staff of Mallory Elementary as the assistant principal during the upcoming school year. My commitment to the students and staff at Mallory Elementary is to ensure that they thrive in an environment that promotes success, ensures safety, and cultivates a love of learning. I am dedicated and looking forward to building lasting relationships within the Dallas County community. I truly appreciate the warm welcome that I have received from the community, and I am looking forward to an amazing 2019-2020 school year!

Mrs. Collins is the mother of two children, Jordan and Chelsea; and has been married 24 years to her husband, Jeff. The Dallas County School District welcomes Mrs. Collins to her new position.
